The Danish hairdresser Katja Rosasco and founder of Meishai, was born with allergies. She didn't know yet that one day, she'd fall in love with hair.

For over 15 years, she worked as a hairdresser in some of the world's best salons - surrounded, every single day, by beautiful, high-performing products she could never actually use on herself. At work, she styled with the best the industry had to offer. At home, she switched to a different shelf entirely: plain, clinical, allergy-safe - and rarely anything she'd call beautiful.

Two worlds. Never meant to meet.

She kept asking the same question, year after year: why should safety mean giving something up?

So in 2021, she decided to stop choosing between the two. After years of research, Meishai was born - haircare built to meet the strict demands of the Asthma Allergy Nordic certification, without giving up an inch on design, texture, or results.

Even the name carries the idea. Mei, from Japanese, means beauty, elegance, simplicity. Shai, from Hebrew, means gift. Together, your beauty is an intentional gift.
