In this interview, she shares her best tips for keeping hair healthy and strong during the cold winter months, her thoughts on beauty, and what trends we can expect to see this season.

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty, for me, is a feeling. It’s the way we carry ourselves and how we embrace our unique expression. It’s not about perfection, but rather finding joy in what’s natural, unique, and authentic.

Winter can be harsh on hair. What’s your best tip for protecting hair from the cold and keeping it healthy and strong?

The cold can be tough on hair, but my best advice is moisture for dry winter hair. Use a deep moisturizing mask and nourishing products. Choose your heating and styling tools wisely.

Are you seeing any particular hair trends for this winter?

I’m noticing a trend towards natural textures and soft, natural, voluminous styles. I often tell my clients that hair should “dance.” It's also about enhancing what we already have. Haircare is trending a lot too, especially on social media, where there’s a big focus on nurturing and maintaining healthy hair.

What does your personal haircare routine look like?

My routine is simple but effective. I only use high-quality hair products and focus on taking care of my scalp as much as my hair. A good shampoo is very important to me, as well as a hydrating conditioner and a nourishing serum or leave-in product, especially during the winter months.

If you could share your best tip for healthy hair, what would it be?

Be patient and gentle with your hair, especially when it's wet. Only use high-quality heating and styling tools, and invest in a few quality hair products rather than many less effective ones. Also, remember that the beauty of your hair starts from within.

Which Meishai product is your favorite?

It’s hard for me to choose just one favorite because I love the entire Meishai range. Every product is created with care, and that's something I truly appreciate. They’re perfect for those who want high-quality, fragrance-free products that are also allergy-conscious. The best part is that the whole family can use them.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration when it comes to beauty and hair?

My biggest inspiration is the women I meet every day in my salon. Their personal style and stories inspire me to create something beautiful and unique for each individual client I have in my hands. Beauty is truly a story.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice about haircare or beauty in general, what would it be?

Don’t be so hard on yourself – and your hair. I started in the hairdressing industry at a very young age, and back then, people didn’t pay much attention to harmful chemicals and ingredients. Thankfully, we’ve gotten much better at this today, and I’ve learned a lot the hard way. Simplicity is often the best. Stick with products that care for your hair, skin, and scalp, and remember that beauty comes in many forms. We’ll never be younger than we are today, so be grateful for the privilege of growing older each day.
