Meet Romina - an intuitive voice within the hair industry
Del
We are thrilled to introduce Romina Grieger-Bramkamp, a hairdresser - and a gentle, intuitive voice within a more holistic approach to hair.
With a deep sensitivity towards both hair and the person behind it, Romina represents a quieter shift within the industry. One that moves beyond surface-level results, and towards a more connected and thoughtful approach to beauty. Her work is rooted in presence.
In recent years, her perspective has naturally expanded beyond traditional hairdressing. Through a growing interest in holistic practices and a deeper understanding of the connection between body and mind, she has begun to approach hair as part of something greater- not separate from it.
What defines Romina’s work is not only what she does - but how she does it. There is a calmness in her way of working. A sense of listening. A feeling of being met - not just styled. Her clients don’t just come for their hair, but for the experience of slowing down, reconnecting, and being seen.
This more conscious way of working with hair is part of a new movement within the industry - one that values balance, wellbeing, and long-term care over quick fixes.
It is also why Romina resonates deeply with Meishai’s philosophy.
A shared belief that haircare should support, not overwhelm. That safety and performance can - and should - exist together. And that true beauty begins with understanding, not correction.
We spoke with this inspiring woman about beauty, her journey into hairdresseing, and the way she sees hair today.
What is beauty to you?
To be honest, the older I become, the more I try to see beauty as an aligned way of living inside your body. The glow and the spark of somebody who is living a fulfilled life are really the essence of what beauty is to me.
How did you find your way into the hair industry? What first drew you to becoming a hairdresser?
Actually, I wanted to become an educator for hairdressers right from the start because of some people who inspired me early on. These hairdressers I looked up to were inspirational, creative, emotional, smart, and pretty stylish. They loved what they did, and so I began my journey in hairdressing as well.
When did you begin to see hair more holistically? Was there a specific moment or shift that changed the way you work?
My interest in alternative medicine, like Ayurveda and ancient practices like yoga, helped to balance my life, quite frankly. After educating myself more and more in these topics, I implemented the way I see a person and their hair in a more holistic approach.
What does holistic haircare mean to you in practice? How does it influence the way you work with clients, scalp, products, and overall wellbeing?
I always say I am taking care of my clients’ hair, body, and soul. From nervous system regulation through touch and massages, to really seeing the person for more than their hair. I also consult a lot on hair loss topics through my experience in trichology, nutrition, and microsupplementation, so in the end, I support my clients’ beauty and health from the inside and out.
How has your holistic approach been received by your clients? Have you experienced resistance, curiosity, or transformation?
I think everything is energy, and the clients who are drawn to me want to be exactly where they are. They resonate with that concept and feel “finally” seen in my chair. Sometimes they are surprised that a hairdresser can really address and find solutions not only for their hair, but for their scalp and health as well.
What is your favorite Meishai product - and why? How do you use it in your salon?
I love the Mask, maybe because I have a wavy hair texture myself, and I feel that it helps to nurture my hair perfectly. Besides that, I love the non-allergy philosophy because I have some trouble with too many chemicals and want to use as little as possible if not needed - especially in the hair salon.
What and who is inspiring you right now? It could be a person, a book, a movement, or a feeling.
I have always tried to follow my inner guide. To help myself tune in, I get inspired by nature, its cycles, and lately, I’ve been more into astrology.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice - about beauty or life - what would it be?
That decisions coming from the heart are always the best.
