Meet Meda Poškienė - one of Lithuania’s most respected hair specialists

We are honored to introduce Meda Poškienė, one of Lithuania’s most inspiring voices within hair and scalp health.

Meda is the founder of Sveikų Plaukų Vizija, an academy and specialized beauty salon that works exclusively with hair. Known for her deep expertise and uncompromising focus on scalp health, Meda has become a leading specialist in Lithuania for those seeking real, lasting results for their hair.

Her work is guided by a simple belief: truly beautiful hair begins with a healthy scalp. Through her treatments, education, and research-driven approach, Meda helps both clients and professionals rediscover the foundation of strong, vibrant hair.

Her dedication to safe and effective haircare is also what drew her to Meishai. The brand’s fragrance-free formulas and Asthma Allergy Nordic certification align closely with her commitment to science-based care and products that respect both the scalp and the body.

We are deeply honored to see Meishai used in Meda’s work and treatments.

We spoke with this inspiring woman about her philosophy, the challenges of modern haircare, and why healthy hair always begins at the scalp.

1. What does beauty mean to you?
To me, beauty in hair is defined by its health. When hair is strong, well-nourished, and naturally vibrant, it reflects true beauty.

2. How would you describe your philosophy when working with hair and scalp?
My philosophy when working with hair and scalp is based on a holistic approach. For me, everything matters — the whole picture. From simple daily habits to the products and treatments we use, every detail plays a role in the overall health of the hair and scalp.

3. What do you see as the biggest challenge in modern haircare today?
One of the biggest challenges in modern haircare is finding the right balance between maintaining hair health and everyday habits such as styling and coloring. Many people want beautiful, styled hair, but it is equally important to preserve its strength and overall health.

4. Why did you choose to work with Meishai?
I chose to work with Meishai because I was impressed by their effective care combined with the strict standards of the Asthma Allergy Nordic certification. Their products are completely free of fragrances and unnecessary chemicals. I also have a deep appreciation for science and research, and I value working with a brand that prioritizes evidence-based care. It makes me especially happy that we can offer safe and effective solutions for people with strong allergies or sensitivities.

5. Which Meishai product is your personal favorite — and why?
My personal favorite Meishai product is the shampoo, because everything starts with the scalp. A healthy scalp creates the foundation for healthy, strong, and beautiful hair.

6. What advice would you give someone wanting healthier hair?
If you want healthier hair, don’t forget to take care of your scalp. Healthy hair always starts with a healthy scalp. It’s also important to support your hair from within by eating enough protein and healthy fats, which play a key role in maintaining strong and resilient hair.

7. As we transition from winter to spring, what changes do you typically recommend for hair and scalp care?
As we transition from winter to spring, I usually recommend focusing on adding more moisture in every possible way. Hydration should come both from within and from external care — through nourishing hair products and even using air humidifiers at home. Winter and the heating season can significantly disrupt the balance of both the scalp and the hair, so restoring moisture is key during this time.

8. What — or who — inspires you right now? It can be something professional, creative, or something quiet in everyday life.
Right now, I feel inspired by spring — the awakening of nature and the longer, brighter days. This season always brings a sense of renewal and fresh energy. For me, spring is also a time dedicated to deepening my knowledge and learning new things, so I’m always looking forward to the flow of new ideas and inspiration it brings.
