Meet Brenda - Founder of Zeva Hair Spa, Hong Kong

We are proud to introduce Brenda, founder of Zeva Hair Spa — and one of Hong Kong’s most innovative voices within hair and scalp health.

With a background in trichology and years of international study, Brenda has built Zeva Hair Spa into a leading destination for advanced scalp care. Her work bridges science, expertise, and wellness, combining deep clinical knowledge with a holistic understanding of hair health.

Brenda’s journey into trichology began from a deeply personal place. After experiencing hair loss following cancer treatment, she began searching for answers beyond conventional haircare. That search took her around the world to learn from leading experts in scalp science and hair restoration.

What began as a personal mission became something much greater.

Today, Zeva Hair Spa is known for its highly specialised approach to scalp health, helping clients navigate concerns such as hair loss, irritation, and complex scalp conditions through personalised care and advanced diagnostics. Brenda and her team focus on understanding the root causes behind hair and scalp concerns — empowering clients with both knowledge and long-term solutions.

At the heart of Brenda’s philosophy is a simple but powerful belief: beauty is not about perfection — it is about confidence, wellbeing, and feeling connected to who you are.

This deep commitment to safety, care, and long-term hair health is also why Brenda spent years searching for truly clean and safe haircare solutions for her clients.

We are incredibly proud that Meishai is now part of the treatments at Zeva Hair Spa.

We spoke with this powerhouse of a woman about beauty, scalp health, and the philosophy behind her work.

1. What does beauty mean to you?

I truly believe that beauty is one’s soul shining from the inside out. It's about how you feel, how you carry yourself, and how your inner confidence radiates outward. Beauty is about feeling empowered, confident, and connected to who you are on the inside.

2. Tell us the story — what inspired you to start Zeva Hair Spa, and why did you feel it was needed?

After experiencing hair loss following my cancer treatment, I struggled to find effective hair growth solutions. This inspired me to study trichology and travel around the world, learning from top experts in hair and scalp health. I was so inspired, and decided to bring the best technologies and products back to Hong Kong, which led to the creation of Zeva Hair Spa—a sanctuary for restoring confidence and beauty.

3. Are there specific hair or scalp concerns you see more frequently in Hong Kong — and how does Zeva address them?

As trichologists in Hong Kong, we often address hair loss and scalp issues like psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and irritation. At Zeva Hair Spa, we focus on identifying root causes—whether lifestyle, genetics, or health-related—and provide tailored treatments, personalized care routines, or scalp restoration. We take a holistic approach, sometimes referring clients to health professionals for comprehensive solutions.

4. What do you hope your clients feel when they leave Zeva — not just in their hair, but in their mindset?

At Zeva Hair Spa, our three core pillars are Trichology expertise, science, and wellness. Wellness, for us, means a genuine commitment to making our clients happy. Many individuals are unaware of the root causes behind their hair and scalp concerns. Through our professional knowledge and expertise, we aim to educate and empower our clients by providing clear insights into their issues. Our ultimate goal is to ensure they feel confident, informed, and truly satisfied.

5. What made you look for products like Meishai — and what is your favourite Meishai product?

One of our most important responsibilities is selecting the safest and most effective products for our clients. Over the past nine years, I have been searching for truly clean, safe solutions, especially for clients with irritated scalps, pregnant women, and new mothers. Last year, I discovered Meishai, a brand with the prestigious Nordic certification. After thorough testing, we are thrilled with the results. Meishai is a hidden gem in the hair industry, offering exceptional care and safety for our clients.

6. What role does clean, non-toxic beauty play in your philosophy — and why is that important to you and your clients?

Clean, non-toxic beauty is at the core of our philosophy because beauty should never come at the cost of safety. We use hair products daily, and as I always remind my staff, our number one priority is safety—choosing products I’d feel confident letting my own children use every day. While these products may come at a higher price, they are an investment in health and well-being. For us and our clients, safety and quality are non-negotiable when it comes to beauty.

7. If you could give your younger self one piece of advice about beauty, health, and life — what would it be?

I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be this: you are the most beautiful in this very moment. As I’m getting older, I’ve embraced my wrinkles, grey hair, and the natural changes in my body. I’ve learned to appreciate and love my skin, my shape, and my hair as they are now, because beauty isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. Life is fleeting, and the present moment is truly the most beautiful gift we have. Embrace who you are today, because happiness and beauty come from self-acceptance and living fully in the here and now.
